1. pacman -S mpd - установил
2. gpasswd -a mpd users -
3. chmod g+rx /home/su -
4. cp /usr/share/mpd/mpd.conf.example /etc/mpd.conf - создал файл /etc/mpd.conf скопировав его из /usr/share/mpd/mpd.conf.example
# /etc/rc.d/mpd start
:: Starting Music Player Daemon                                                                                                                 [BUSY] /etc/rc.d/mpd: line 6:  6555 Аварийный останов         /usr/bin/mpd /etc/mpd.conf &>/dev/null
/etc/rc.d/mpd start
:: Starting Music Player Daemon [DONE]

Из /dev/astral?

mpd --create-db
listen: Failed to listen on *:6600: Address already in use
music_directory "~/Musik"
playlist_directory "~/.mpd/playlists"
db_file "~/.mpd/mpd.db"

ping localhost
PING localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- localhost.localdomain ping statistics ---
44 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 43013ms

ping 127.0.0.1
PING 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 127.0.0.1 ping statistics ---
7 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 6000ms
Вот что в /etc/hosts:
#
# /etc/hosts: static lookup table for host names
#
#<ip-address>	<hostname.domain.org>	<hostname>
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain	localhost suhost-lenovo
# End of file
