Так а на что дровишки-то менять? На Intel, вроде, только открытые есть. А на NVIDIA не отвечает за вывод.
С дровишками вроде все нормально, как вариант отключить встроенную, так как у Вас внешняя NVIDIA Corporation GF117M.
Как вариант, удалить laptop-mode-tools, насколько понимаю он установлен.
Посмотрите настройки /etc/systemd/journald.conf на предмет настройки MaxLevelSyslog. Раскаментить её и выставить в значение debug и далее смотреть логи.
laptop-mode-tools я удалял, но не помогло(
Выставил debug в логах тоже самое пишется. Может мне надо после зависания что-нибудь сделать? Я, просто, отключаю, удерживая кнопку выключения, когда он зависнет. Или логи выводить надо с какими-то особенными параметрами?
1. У меня зависание системы было из-за драйверов, где-то была статья по поводу двух видеокарт, поищите её.
2. Попробовать поставить nvidia(xf86-video-nouveau) и intel(xf86-video-intel) вместе.
3. Попробовать поставить пакет acpi.
4. почитать вики для своего ноута, если есть на русском и англ
Еще можно поиграться с параметрами HandleSuspendKey, HandleHibernateKey, HandleLidSwitch.

Я запустил journalctl от root. И там есть ошибки, но они не рядом с сообщениями о переходе в ждущий режим.

Есть SIGTERM процесса, но как узнать какой процесс именно был отрублен?(
Хм, я сохранил вывод ps aux в файл, а затем воспроизвел зависание. И вот что оказалось SIGTERM посылается NetworkManager'у. Который запущен, кстати, с ключом no-daemon. Проверил два раза.
После удаления dhcpcd в логах sigterm не появляется, но комп продолжает виснуть после ждущего режима.
Попробуйте снести NetworkManager (netctl вместо него использовать). И еще без запуска ДЕ, войти только в консоль.
