Ещё раз: у Арча НЕТ версий. Я свой ставил с загрузочного образа два года назад:

А может всё же конфиги sshd покажите? Только активные позиции, без комментариев.
Velesich я не говорю о версиях, у Arch есть релизы. Между установкой нового релиза и обновления старого, очень большая разница. А релиз 2007-2008 года,
обновить или установить пакеты с оф. репозитариев -- вообще невозможно.
mango я могу конечно скинуть, но это не в ssh точно, потому, что с другими сервисами, тоже самое, что с ssh.
С другой стороны если пинги ходят (вроде да?), то либо где-то есть правило загибающее TCP пакеты и не трогающее ICMP, либо сервисы слушают не в ту сторону :)

Natrio спасибо, на машине в первой сетки установил mtu 1000, ssh пропустил - это уже успех, завтра на работе буду другие сервисы проверять.
На mtu 1300 работает. Значит где-то пакеты режутся (. А как добавить в автозапуск mtu 1300?
ping -s 1472 соответствует MTU=1500. Для остальных, соответственно, учитывайте разницу в те же 28 байт.
Если пакеты режутся на шлюзе (или обоих), значит там не настроена правильная фрагментация TCP, см. в доках и виках iptables, -j TCPMSS --clamp-mss-to-pmtu , но это всё только на шлюзах.

У вас на конечных хостах вы можете принудительно уменьшить MTU, просто добавив mtu 1300 в конец команды ip link, которой вы поднимаете интерфейс в юните, приведённом вами ранее.
