Впадает в hibernate при использовании ускорения

Собственно, это касается не только Арча, но и любых других дистрибутивов на 5 версии ядра. При активном использовании ускорения ( mpv -vo=gpu. firefox с включённым webgl ) компьютер впадает в состояние, очень похожее (в случаем именно моего компьютера) как выглядит "засыпание": гаснет и выключатся экран, и светодиод мышки, гаснет индикатор на клавиатуре, но ethernet индикатор продолжает "моргать", и продолжается светиться индикатор питания. Так как клавиатура, в данном случае, выключается, то пробудить компьютер не представляется возможным, нажатие Reset приводит к тому, что индикатор питания тут же гаснет на секунду-две, но только чтобы засветиться на две секунды, и тут же погаснуть, а затем только начать "холодную перезагрузку"

Приводить тут выводы dmesg и journalctl не имеет смысла: это событие не находит никакого отклика в логах, но Xorg.0.log с закончившегося крахом сеанса привести можно:

Я понимаю, что шансы получить помощь в данном вопросе очень малы, но подумал, что пусть будет тема, может, кому чего будет добавить. А сам я в раздумьях: надо откатываться на ядро 4 версии, либо менять дистрибутив на более стабильный, типа Debian, либо (если есть в AUR) собирать ядро из 4 версии, может, кто-то подскажет, что можно попробовать ещё ? Заранее оговорюсь, я уже пробовал и SNA и UXA - разница только в скорости появления краха: у SNA сразу как только начинается использование ускорения, UXA - после некоторого время активного использования. Так же пробовал полностью почистить /lib/firmware, не помогает. Пока что отключил webgl в браузере, и в mpv использую с опцией -vo=x11

UPD2: KMS здесь всплыл, потому, что я попытался прописать MODULES=(i915) в mkinitcpio.conf, но ранее я этого никогда не делал, просто попытался починить этот глюк.

Судя по логу у вас грузится vesa драйвер, следовательно ни о каком ускорении речи быть не может.
Удалите конфиг xorg.conf нев и все что у вас там есть, настройте нормально драйвера для вашей видеокарточки смотрите в вики

При активном использовании ускорения ( mpv -vo=gpu. firefox с включённым webgl )
mpv - это что проигрыватель? Он как-то привязан к firefox? Если да - то, как Вы это сделали?

компьютер впадает в состояние, очень похожее (в случаем именно моего компьютера) как выглядит "засыпание"

Приводить тут выводы dmesg и journalctl не имеет смысла:
Имхо, логи посмотреть всеравно интересно - запомнить время падения/засыпания и посмотреть что там в этот момент прописано.
В случае suspend, как правило, в логах следующее

надо откатываться на ядро 4 версии
Неплохо бы тоже уточнить, если проблема в ядре, то не сработают комбинации Alt + SysRq, например, попробовать перегрузиться Alt + SysRq + R E I S U B (при этом параметр /proc/sys/kernel/sysrq должен быть установлен равным 1)

PS - не понятно, причем здесь webgl? Эту функцию поддерживает даже большинство стареньких видеокарт и насколько я понимаю, это вообще не должно влиять на падение. Плюс к этому не понятна связь с mpv.

Если бы я этого уже не сделал, то что-либо делать на компьютере, было совсем невозможно. Я отключил всё, что использует OpenGL/webgl/gpu для вывода на экран

Не mpv, а использование опции -vo=gpu по-умолчанию, вызывает крах,(и не только в mpv но и в videolan!, и даже банальный glxinfo тоже может вызвать этот крах)

UPD: Причем, это касается не толька Арча, но и любых линукс-дистрибутивов на 5 ядре: пробовал livedvd от fedora30, какую-то ежедневную сборку Убунту: везде одно и то же, и, наоборот, всё замечательно на Debian9 и Fedora29, но как-то к арчу привых :(

kotnaton, можно конечно извлечь и логи, но не стандартными способами - любое событие в системе можно зафиксировать. Правда толку от этого скорее всего не будет, а потому что то советовать нет смысла.
Насколько понял используется Intel и могу порекомендовать пакет intel-gpu-tools, в который входит много утилит для анализа и среди них имеется утилита похожая на top для видеокарты - intel_gpu_top - если будет интерес можешь посмотреть использование графического процессора в обоих этих случаях на предмет отличий.

PS - вывод информации зависит от возможностей gpu

mpv привязан к аппаратному ускорению декодинга и выводу видео, а firefox тоже использует некоторые возможности аппаратной обработки чего то там...
у меня иногда бывает, что при просмотре видео в mpv, воспроизведение останавливается или вообще перезагрузка системы... подозреваю что за перезагрузку отвечает какой то там watchdog
