Заставить работать модули памяти

Здравствуйте.
На данный момент в компьютере установлены 4 модули памяти, два 2ГБ и два по 1ГБ. Работают только 4 ГБ. Также ставил 2ГБ вместо двух 1ГБ модулей(в любом случае было бы 6ГБ). В Windows 10 все работают, хотя в Биосе видны токо 4 ГБ. Линукс распознает все планки, но не все работают. Что я имею в виду:

Уверен, что установил правильно, в нужные слоты? Установлены соответствующие требования по установке планок памяти в слоты.

Какой именно "линукс" и сколько разрядный твой "линукс"?

Работают похоже только 2 планки по 2 G, похоже они же и определяются в BIOS. Вот почему не видно в BIOS 2 планки по 1G? Остается гадать, информации нет.
Что написано на планках, какое наряжение, какой тип и др? Скорее всего DDR3/800, dmidecode иногда не может определить тип памяти и в данном случае похоже тоже.
Неплохо посмотреть другие выводы, например, sudo lshw -short -C memory | grep MHz, вывод dmesg (может что то не нравится ядру), может что то не включено/отключено в BIOS, вообщем нужно больше информации.
Можно попробовать переставить планки, можно вообще попробовать сначала работу только с 1-ой планкой, поочередно меняя их, если все нормально определяются начни добавлять по 1-ой, вообщем нужно смотреть и пробовать + конечно же посмотреть тип памяти, параметры, все ли одинаковы.
А так тяжело судить в чем причина.

EDIT 1 - неплохо также посмотреть и вывод dmesg | grep Memory, в котором будет указан общий объем памяти, например

EDIT 2 - где описывал про перестанавку планок, неплохо бы проверить рабочую планку во всех слотах, может слоты не рабочие?

vasek, это во второй пенек можно было натолкать разнобой, в современных чипсетах этот фокус не проходит. Подождем когда ТС скажет, что за железки у него, гадать не имеет смысла.

redix, на старое железо наводит Speed: 800 MT/s - давно уже такое думаю и не выпускают - вот и гадай, то ли старое железо, то ли старые модули сунули в новое железо. Да и dmidecode не определил ни тип памяти, ни другие параметры.

hynix korea 9 1GB PC2-6400U-666-12, HYMP112U64CP8-S6 AB-C все что написано. Вроде они 800 МГц ссылка на ибэй

На самом деле 1Гб планок у меня много, есть самсунги, кингстон и еще пара тройка планок непопулярных фирм, они тоже в связке не работают. Все DDR2 800 МГц dimm.

В общем дело такое, мать я менял и она довольно новая, но как оказалось старого производства. Ссылка на спецификацию
А вот че интересно, там красными буквами написано:
* Do not populate both DIMM sockets of the same channel (e.g. DDR and DDR2), or populate 4 DIMM sockets with double-sided memory modules to prevent system's failure to start or incorrect detection of memory modules. Please refer to the user manual for the memory configurations table.
Т.е. 4 модуля Dimm не работают одновременно, или только черные чипы памяти должны быть на двух сторонах обязательно. Так или иначе 4 не работают. Раньше тоже не мог его заставить работать 4 1Гб модули, получаются они все dimm, но чипы у 1Гб не у всех на друх сторонах. Конкретно у hynixов только на одной стороне, вот поэтому я их и пытался заставить работать.

Мне хотя бы 3 заставить работать. 3 по 2ГБ. Оказывается в Windows 10, работают только 2x2Гб + 2x1Гб планки, а вот 3x2Гб нет(системная ошибка, перезагрузка).
Т.е. все 4 стола рабочие, я это всегда знал, по одному проверял. В linux тоже хоть в любую засовывай по 1 и запускай нормально, хоть 1 ГБ хоть 2 ГБ.

В BIOS award 6 все включил. Да там особо ничего и нет для памяти, кроме регулировки частоты.

Перестановки много делал без толку.

Процессор обновил недавно, core duo на Xeon X5450(Кстати китайцы переделали этот процессор под сокет LGA775). Думаю причина не может быть в этом.
