не надо так делать, пускай удаляет вместе с гномам.
просто в гноме очень много всякой ерунды, чтобы установить что виснут именно иксы можно попробовать что нибудь другое.
и смотреть /var/log/Xorg.0.log т.к. он journal не пишется...
Согласен ........ но ради этого все удалять ? .......... жалко ...... но если только для проверки, тогда проще сделать backup или полный образ раздела (дело вкуса) и пусть экспериментирует ........... а зато вернуться обратно потом можно безболезненно ..

А что всё? В принципе пользовательские настройки удаление не затронет, изменённые общие сохранятся как .pacsave, даже пакеты заново скачивать не придётся.

p.s. тсс, а после того как по моему доброму совету автор соберёт себе dwm, он забудет про этот жуткий гном навсегда(ну иногда только будет плеваться от gtk, но только по делу), я же плохого не посоветую)))

есть ещё одна идея, нужно проверить состояние hdmi после того как пропадает изображение
cat /sys/class/drm/*/status
* посмотрите только сначала что у вас там.
Во время загрузки звукового модуля происходит опрос hdmi, и из за его подвешенного состояния, возможно видео выход просто переключается на hdmi???
p.s. и что то мне подсказывает в гноме есть какая то автоматизация по этому поводу...

ТС, а что по моему совету поотключать девайсы? Не помог? Ответа не увидел просто. А ведь это наверняка ключ проблем.

По поводу цветного экрана вспомнил, что у меня когда-то на 16 прерывание вешалась и nvidia, и via-rhine (ethernet). И в один прекрасный момент я ловил цветной экран из-за того, что для обоих устройств одновременно пришло прерывание.

есть ещё одна идея, нужно проверить состояние hdmi после того как пропадает изображение
cat /sys/class/drm/*/status
* посмотрите только сначала что у вас там.
Во время загрузки звукового модуля происходит опрос hdmi, и из за его подвешенного состояния, возможно видео выход просто переключается на hdmi???
p.s. и что то мне подсказывает в гноме есть какая то автоматизация по этому поводу...

Согласен ........ но ради этого все удалять ? .......... жалко ...... но если только для проверки, тогда проще сделать backup или полный образ раздела (дело вкуса) и пусть экспериментирует ........... а зато вернуться обратно потом можно безболезненно ..
Систему, кстати, не жалко. Если что - хоть все с 0 поставлю, лишь бы найти причину. Я же недавно ноут собрал, еще толком не обзавелся настройками.

ТС, а что по моему совету поотключать девайсы? Не помог? Ответа не увидел просто. А ведь это наверняка ключ проблем.

По поводу цветного экрана вспомнил, что у меня когда-то на 16 прерывание вешалась и nvidia, и via-rhine (ethernet). И в один прекрасный момент я ловил цветной экран из-за того, что для обоих устройств одновременно пришло прерывание.
А по этому поводу писал вот тут)
А прерывания идут только при загрузке?
Просто я если гружусь с заблеклищеным snd_hda_intel, то все окей, а экран появляется как только modprobe snd_hda_intel.
А еще я заметил интересную особенность - в винде хрипит звук при высоких нотах. Причем, что через динамики, что через наушники. Не понятно, правда, то ли дело в 10 Windows, которые для m15x официально не поддерживается, то ли видеокарта виновата.
Уже реально задумываюсь, а не продать ли ее)

Так я думал, что смог выключить его через Bios, я там все в разделе PCI вырубил. Но все равно цветасный экран.

Это в смысле выключить его через шину в emergency? Если да, то сразу нубский вопрос - как его найти?)) lscpi | grep -i "что?"?
