У меня тоже было что то похожее, я теперь стартую систему с intel карты, nouveau в процессе подгружается, а так у меня тоже не запускается графика если приоритет в биосе на nvidia

/usr/lib/modprobe.d/nvidia-utils.conf.
Для начала надо ручками в блек листе поменять nouveau, на nvidia и перезагрузиться.
